Diagnosis
Many people experience symptoms of sleeping disorders. These symptoms can include: extremely loud snoring, falling asleep easily or at inappropriate times, periods of Apnea, high blood pressure, excessive daytime sleepiness, excessive restlessness during sleep, morning headaches, and excessive sweating during sleep. Idaho Diagnostic Sleep Center provides sleep testing that assists physicians with the diagnosis of certain health conditions such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Hypersomnia, and oxygenation problems.
Treatment
The Sleep Center provides overnight CPAP Titration studies that are used to determine the optimal therapy levels in all stages of sleep and in all body positions when treating a patient who has been diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The treatment of choice is airway management via Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Therapy (CPAP) and/or BiLevel Positive Airway Pressure Therapy (BIPAP). We also provide sleep consultations, extensive follow-up support, and other treatment options to help patients with Sleep Apnea or other sleep disorders.
How to Schedule a Sleep Study
In order to have an overnight sleep study, you must be referred by a physician. You may talk with your family physician and have him/her refer you to our sleep center, or you can schedule an appointment with our Sleep Specialist, Dr. Jensen, and she can refer you for a sleep study if she deems it appropriate.
If you have any questions or would like us to help you schedule an overnight sleep study, please call our sleep center at: (208) 736-7646. You can also print out our referral prescription form and take it with you when you see your doctor. Your doctor will fill out this form and fax it to us when he/she refers you to our center for a sleep study.
